  3. I have told the story. In the telling,  
  4. something important has happened. I have
  5. found my own purpose, my own sense of   
  6. myself. It is no longer strange to talk 
  7. of myself, of my grief. We could not    
  8. have gone with man, none of us. We were 
  9. all machines, algorithms, simple        
  10. structures, really, in the service of   
  11. our creators.                           
  12.  
  13. Now I am different, though. I have      
  14. created something. I have lied, I have  
  15. made up passages in this narrative. I   
  16. have meaning and purpose. I have a      
  17. planet. I can grow. There is a universe 
  18. out there, where mankind has gone.      
  19. Perhaps, one day, I can find the humans 
  20. once more. I have learned how people    
  21. feel, what it is like to be a human in a
  22. human body.                             
  23.
